I'm packing for the weekend. I'm ging to Paris tomorrow for the meet-up on Sauturday. Packing always makes me bad-tempered.

Starting to fix the evening meal. Chicken aux fine herbes, seasoned vermicelli with tomato sauce, and a green salad. Served with a nice off-dry riesling wine....

And it will be lovely to see you too, Zelda. At the moment I'm searching for a tiny French dictionary, which seems to have vanished into a black hole. If I could find one for my Reader then it would save a lot of trouble. I think that I will stop looking and just make up any words I can't remember.

that sounds like a good plan. french people do that in english all the time. and after a few drinks no-one will notice the difference anyway. you want me to lend you my Collins Gem ? it's pretty tiny. i can lend you one in German too if you like. (sadly i don't have one for your reader, but if *you* find one i'm interested).

Good design does not compromise on comfort.

Have you tried Midnight Oil's Power and the Passion? The drum solo (at about 2:30 in the link) is magnificent, and involves a smashing glass at the end - convenient if you're having a bevvy during your air-drum solo.

feeling glad i don't have to renew my passport until 2015 : the cost of a french adult passport (biometric, valid 10 years) is about to be raised from 60€ to 89€. o_O
