Can't install Calibre
I am trying to update Calibre to the latest version and keep getting an error message, 2755.

I don't know what to do since I can't repair the version that I have now. Any ideas what I can do to fix the problem? I tried a system restore but that doesn't work either.

@patetc; maybe a few hints might help us all... What O/S? What is giving this error code? Have you tried a reboot?

Its a Windows Error - various causes and solutions, bad download, corrupted installer, malware etc

google "error 2755" - About 4,660,000 results

BR; I did... and I saw... it's an issue with MSI . But still, posters need to realize not all of us are psychopsychic and it's far FAR easier to supply more info up front than simply error 2755.

Let's give the OP the benefit of the doubt and assume he just searched for 2755, if so he would have been looking a some of these and maybe a couple of these

Which I have to say are a darn sight more interesting than what one gets for "error 2755"

The file you try to install is damaged. Delete it and download again, and install using the newly downloaded file. Make sure you only download from the official places, to avoid viruses and other junk.

And follow the advice in the FAQ to disable your over zealous A/V if it corrupts another download whit it on.

Again: Use only the OFFICIAL site.
