Although I associate "magical" with the sensation evoked in the observer, I still see it as a synonym for "magic," when used well. In this case, like ApK, I like the way it scans, too.

Have you considered aiming this at a slightly older age group, or as a story to be read to children by parents? If you choose the latter, remember that many adults have limited vocabularies and don't know what words like 'amulet' mean. But these are not the type of people who would buy books for their children.

Well, ApK knows my love of alliteration, which is probably why I unconsciously chose magical.
It is aimed at parents to read to their children, or for more advanced children to read for themselves. It will be illustrated. I feel like Achilles and the tortoise. each step gets me closer to being finished with this story, but I feel like I'm never going to get there. *sigh* |
