Unless I do a lot of stuff online with it I charge mine every 3 or 4 days. The battery seems to last okay if I am mainly reading.

I am loving it so far... I spent a lot of time figuring out how to side-load android apps onto it without having another android device for the google-play apps (because amazon and google play don't want to play nicely, apparently). I needed to figure that out for the Moon+ Pro, but I have to say it was very much worth the effort!!!!
I assume that is the 2013 Fire HD? I am sure that is a nice choice for a reader. I have the 2012 Fire HD and find it overlarge and heavy for much reading. Though I do use it every night for news (Flipboard and Newshog, mostly) and web. I never really liked reading on it. The size of the original Fire was much nicer. I haven't seen the newest Fire HD.

Yes, I got the idea from you... it's all your fault

I noticed a new (change in an old) plug-in in calibre. I went to use tweakbooks on a file and it wasn't there anymore but something different was - Edit Book. So I tried it and was pleasantly surprised with it. Much better than when I would try to do things with the tweakbook plug-in. It was sort of like an html editor/dashboard. I'm still pretty ignorant when it comes to html editing and such, but it seemed to be made for people like me. A lot of it was still more Greek than anything else to me but I was able to clean up the book I was trying to edit (a very very short story, so that could be why it seemed so simple), so maybe my project won't be so bad.

Has anyone else seen this plug-in and used it?

It is the 2013 but is the 7" size which really isn't much bigger than the KPW. It's a bit heavier, but I'm not holding it up, so I'm okay with that. If I had to hold it for very long, I might change my mind, but I don't think that will be an issue for me.

Yeah the Edit Book was just introduced (maybe 5 weeks or so ago). I haven't used it yet. I re-added the "Tweak Book" feature back to the menu. It's now called "Unpack Book". One day I will start using the Edit Book feature. I just can't handle a new learning curve at the moment

Yes I just compared the specs of yours vs mine, and yours is smaller and lighter than mine. Otherwise the specs are about the same.

Still not as high a res as the Nook HD Of course that's last year's tech.

Not much of a learning curve, if I can do it I promise. It's very similar in some respects to Tweak Book in that you can see the different parts on one side - the difference is that you can edit the html in the middle screen and see those edits as you do them on a screen on the right. There are sections for just dealing with css and TOCs (both of which are a mystery to me still) and fonts. Anyway, for the very basic things I do (putting in breaks when the file doesn't have them mostly), this new plug-in appears to be easier than Tweak Books....

Very busy but was searching for a few books to buy and came across some freebies. So I wanted to share....I have no idea as usual if they are worth reading or have been posted already but sometimes I am pleasantly surprised and I love when that happens.

You shouldn't have a problem holding it once you get a good case for it. They may be heavier than eReaders but the weight is distributed enough that you can hold it for hours if need be. I actually got arm issues from holding the paperwhite for periods of long times not so with the tablets.

Yep and I went back to UnPack Book. I prefer my own Line Editor to use when editing Cascades Sheets or removing embedded fonts. It's probably useful if you want to remove extras and stuff and it shows you the preview of what each file is just like Sigil.

Edit TOC is a great way to make a Tablet of Contents! I love that feature which is Separate from Edit Book.

Scottish romance free
The Daring Heart by Carmen Caine:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CEH8H16
"Set among princes and pretenders in 15th-century Europe, Caine's (The Bedeviled Heart, 2011, etc.) third volume in the Highland Heather and Hearts Scottish Romance series pairs a dashing spy with a reluctant assassin...the late Middle Ages provide an intriguing setting, and the international intrigue between families and nations is similarly compelling. A fresh historical setting and a fun, if improbable, premise make for a comforting read featuring a couple worth rooting for from their first dagger-point meeting."

I do not know the author but the story seems interesting and the cover is gorgeous.
This was part of Free_partay yesterday but it still shows free for me today.

Thank You!
I adore medieval romances, especially if it's backlist titles, it makes me much more confident of the quality.
I am not very familiar with Lisa Jackson but I am planning to rectify the situation this week.

I am currently reading the medieval books from the Montgomery series by Jude Deveraux for the first time. So I guess you can say I am looking for more like it. Lisa Jackson now writes thrillers but she has been writing for a long time. I am slowly collecting her historicals.

I am all open for Medieval romance recommendations. I'd forgotten how much I love this genre!
