Yes, Loans lists items borrowed from the public library (overdrive) as well as Amazon's Prime Lending Library. I don't know if it would list a loan from one Amazon customer to another, but I would think so.

It must only list Prime loans (and customer to customer loans?) when they are active? Mine always disappear from my MYK page once they've been returned (unlike OverDrive loans).

My prime loans disappear after I return them, but my Overdrive and Lendle loans remain in the list as expired. Which I like, because I end up buying over half of them anyway.

We have the loans in Australia (not from Kindle) too, depending on your library. They're epubs usually. I've found the books stay in my collection after I've run them through Calibre, but they automatically disappear from the Adobe Digital Editions program, or I tell them they can be returned. The system doesn't quite work the way I expect it is meant to, but it's brilliant. I put them on my Paperwhite to read as that's my preferred reading device now.

biased sample - 85% of folks who use these forums. is not the same as quizzing say 1000 people who buy books from a reader store. with the latter sample you'd maybe only get 10 who even visit here/have heard of "Alf" e.g. compare: how many kindle owners are there in the world, with how many visitors does the kindle forum get ? |

There have been about 120,000 downloads of Alf's current tools from the link on his blog, but there are millions of Kindle users. | |

So i'm a lover of various free ebook sites and if the books need converting i use a epub to mobi converter online and then toss them on my kindle via send to kindle app. I used to use Calibre but my mac mini and calibre hate each other which slows conversion. If i have a file i've bought from amazon that a family member wants to read i do toss it into calibre to remove the drm then send then the file through email.
