55 years of addiction. I try to sublimate it with good tea and/or coffee. But sometimes I just want something to sip on while I work, and Coke works for that better than just about anything else.

Yeah, it helps for a while, but then I end up too wired from too much tea. It's a problem. I like the relatively mild caffeine hit from the diet coke, which is spread out over time. But the tea doesn't work as well for me with that. When I finish the current book, I'll make another push to get diet coke out of my life.

Yeah, I know, but at least it was something hot and I hadn't brought any coffee from home.

I have a diet coke once or twice a year during the hot summer, then my like for it goes away.

Plain coffee right now.

I don't like soda that much. I mostly drink water/juice and have my whole entire life, so when I do have one, it's one of those fruity ones by Snapple, a Big Red, or Sprite. I like Dr. Pepper too.

Congrats on the baby. While getting sick sucks, at least you can take good medicine to help you feel better. That was the worst part of being pregnant, not being able to take much. Colds really suck when you are deprived cold medicine.

Sorry to hear your sick, Quake1028. Never fun, and everything seems worse when you're at the "pop" stage (or at least that's what I've been assured by many who were in a somewhat better position to know that I am.

)

My tea arrived last night. Fresh Peet's English Breakfast this morning! And I'm looking forward to some of my favourite Lion Mountain Keemun later. We also got in a new supply of chocolate covered Peet's Espresso beans. They are seriously good, though I have to be careful how many of them I have.

Hot broth in one cup and club soda with ice in another - I've come down with some sort of cold/flu bug (yes - I did get my flu shot) - and my temp is roller coasting up & down ..... *whine*

Thanks for the kind words about the baby. She is due in 20 days, and she will be our first child. We are beyond excited.
