iOS7 - do Apps autoupdate?
I've recently bought my first iOS7 device (the iPad Mini Retina), and was surprised to discover this morning that the Kindle App appears to have automatically updated itself to the latest v4.1. Is this a new feature of iOS7? Apps don't update themselves on my iPhone 4, which is still running iOS5.

Is there a way to control update behaviour?

Yes, there is an autoupdate option. You can turn it off under Settings > iTunes & App Store > Automatic Downloads > Updates.

Thanks - hadn't spotted that! I think I'll switch it off - updates aren't always an improvement.

Oh, it's far from unusable. Just a minor irritation. It only affects me when I open a new book, which is perhaps a twice a week thing. Hopefully the next update will fix it.

I also don't like my apps updating themselves. Have turned off that "feature" of ios7. When updates for most of my apps come out, I want to wait and see if others are having problems before I update.

QFT. It should be off as default. I never update until I've taken time time to read over the latest reviews and even then I think to myself "is there anything wrong with the app as it is now?" before I decide to update.
