Nice wallpaper. A bit small in resolution though... It is quiet here. I know I am busy with reading Ghost Story and working on my add-in.

Added a 2nd image that's larger, but it doesn't change the actual resolution any because the original material is what it is.

Hi everyone!
Hope we all had a lovely holiday and New Year's Eve. (I made it to nine o' clock! Wheeeee!)
Glad to be back in the thread. I've been recovering from LASIK surgery over the last couple of weeks. I am pleased to report that I went from being legally blind (-9/-8.5) to completely prescription free with 20/20 vision! It's a freaking miracle!
Just finished a spontaneous reread of Cold Days yesterday, and I'm dyinggggg for Skin Game.
What's the count at Lea?
Anyways, glad to be back!

Well done on the surgery! I had LASIK 10 years back, best money I ever spent. Nothing like you though, I just went from wearing glasses all the time, to 20/20 and a cheap set of reading glasses from the supermarket. Even so, it was life changing stuff for me, I can't imagine the change for you.

The surgery was indeed life changing. I've had glasses since I was about five, and don't really have any memories where I didn't wear them.
I never thought it would be possible, and in fact, the surgeon told me that three years ago, it WOULDN'T have been possible for my prescription. The technology just keeps improving.
For the first week, whenever I woke up and could see the alarm clock, I wanted to cry.
It was the best Christmas I ever had: a perfect beautiful baby girl and new eyes to see her with.
