Not yet, it is available from net vendors, but it seems obvious that they are buying them as Corporations and then making a profit on them re-Selling to consumers. The cheapest available right now is 110,000 JPY. One vendor had it for MSRP at 98,000 JPY, but are sold out. No sales numbers available.

7980 CNY or 137,000 JPY from a chinese Vendor on Taobao.com, shipment can start within 3 days. All of the Vendors on Rakuten seem to have no stock or at least no promised shipment date.

I have not purchased one yet. I am still wary of the third party sellers. Given that I do not speak the language and these are small sellers, the transaction could go wrong in so many ways.
It really is strange the way Sony is handling the product. It is almost as if they do not want to sell it. Maybe this is supposed to flop so they can write off the losses to offset the success of the PS4. |

This device looks superb, hopefully if finds its way to the UK and drops its price dramatically.
I get thru a note pad every fortnight at work so being able to replace that paper with an electronic device that can also act as a phone logger and address book is really appealing. is there a device about that offer the same type of functionality? Anyone heard of the Sharp enote or used one? Sharp WG-N10, WG-N20, WG-S20? |

Any idea if this would work with an external USB keyboard... and a word processor? I really, REALLY want this to be usable as a writing tool, as my wife has problems with her eyesight that make looking at traditional LCD/LED/projected displays rather difficult, limited and literally painful.

MrPLD, unfortunately no one of us here has ever seen this Sony 13.3 reader and by now they are not for "public sell".
Onyx and Pocketbook will bring out similiar devices. Of course, no details are known there too. Maybe the video in this thread will give you a first impression: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=228247 |

Thanks Billi, yes, early days yet with the 13.3" SONY. Fortunately there was an indiegogo project recently that was to provide a controller board for many different eInk devices, including the 13.3" one ( already built and proven working ), so I'm waiting to hear back from them regrading that option.
Would of course be a complete win if the SONY was avilable and worked with an external BT or USB keyboard. |
