Oh, I see. You should probably take a look at this thread.

Hmm.. you're probably talking about A Song for the Dying by Stuart MacBride, which I see isn't published until 16th January. Kobo don't allow the use of coupon codes with pre-orders, so try waiting until the 16th. You might be able to get 50% off that price, or more.

Google uses the same drm as Kobo so you can use Google books if your ereader can sideload books. You can download Google books from the their website.

Stuart MacBride books are available through the library's Overdrive program.
