You'll have to ask davidfor about that. I don't do any of the image creation or uploading, i rely on the base driver for that.

Thank you, I asked here because it works for ePub, not for kEpub, so I supposed it was the right place

New version uploaded, look for a calibre update notice in the next couple hours. Nothing major in this version, just a translation update that includes Brazilian Portuguese (pt_BR).

Dear all, I am not really expert on hyphenation issues and I am also a newbie about it. I have a question for you and sorry if someone of you might already have replied in a previous posts... there are so many that it is hard to find what you are looking for.

If I install the plugin KoboTouchExtended shall I still add the Italian hyphenation dictionary as described here: https://github.com/jgoguen/calibre-kobo-driver or it is embedded in the plugin?

Thanks, but it is not clear to me if I have to do it for the italian language or not. From my understanding of the English language the italian is provided so it means I should not do anything for my language. Am I right? Sorry for re-asking...

I understand now

You can't add new dictionaries, only update existing ones. You don't need to go through the steps to add the Italian hyphenation dictionary, however there have been reports that the default hyphenation dictionaries are not very good. If you find that the default Italian hyphenation dictionary is not working properly, follow the directions you linked to in order to get a better hyphenation dictionary.

I haven't updated my firmware because of it. I still hope a future firmware update will bring them back, and then I'll update it.

Talk to Kobo if you really want, but best of luck getting a response. Remember that they have no obligation to support anything to do with side loaded KePubs an plenty of reason (from a corporate business perspective, not from a user experience perspective) not to.

With that said, I think I heard somewhere (PeterT? Was there anything about this? Am I even half-right?) that Kobo disabled reading stats for side loaded books because they were inaccurate (which I imagine led to complaints) and they may restore it if they can fix that problem.

That's what I heard, and the reason of my hope that they'll bring it back.
