Here is a web site for those of us who read book series: fictfact.com. This is an internet based database of book series that can help you track your progress through a book series and point out what the next one in the series is.

I've been using it as my first "go to" site for the order of books in a series. I love it.

I've been using it for years and if you ever have information that they do not have any books or series (more books in the series, etc.), just let them know. They are very quick in adding the information.

Love fictfact.com!! I've been using it for quite a while now. They recently upgraded the site, and I like it even better now. Like jersysman said--they are very responsive -- when I've reported a series they didn't have or books missing in a series, they've added them quickly.

Another great site for series information is http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/ . It doesn't allow you to track books you've read, but has lists of both series and non-series books by author.

Does anyone know if ficfact or fantasticficion is better than Goodreads for complete series? It seems like every time I've looked for a series on Goodreads, the series is incomplete, and I couldn't figure out how to add a book to the series. I think you have to be an admin or something.

susan--I usually check both fictfact and fantasticfiction for my series information. fantasticfiction seems to be pretty good with their information--fictfact also, although I have found a few errors at fictfact. But, as I said in my previous posts--the site owners at fictfact seem very responsive. When I've submitted changes/additions they seem to get updated quickly. I haven't really checked series info at GoodReads, so I can't really offer a comparison. My suggestion would be to check all three.

I do love the way fictfact allows me to know exactly where I am in a series. I'm pretty much a stickler for reading series in order.

Wikipedia author pages are also pretty good and I sometimes find that they give me more info than the other sites mentioned.

I use FictFact even though I don't read a lot of series. It is nice to have all the series in one spot to see what has shown up without individually searching the authors for new releases.

authorAlerts.com is another option to find out what your favourite authors are releasing both inside and outside of the series one is reading.

Not too sure about the need to track my progress in a series, but then I am very happy with using fantasticfiction.co.uk to keep an eye on any series I read. Thanks to someone in this forum (of course!) for posting the link in the first place.

Only Goodreads librarians can make such changes. One can apply for librarian status, or join the librarians' group and post change requests there.

Yep, work for Amazon, for free. AND have your hardwork overwritten by Amazon metadata controlled by out of control self-published writers.
