How many of you collect books based on TV series? (i.e. Buffy, CSI, etc.)

I'm collecting these right now: C.S.I. Buffy/Angel The Dresden Files X-Files (Have all 6! ) What do you all collect? For the Buffy/Angel ones, other than the ones labeled 1, 2, 3, etc., does it matter which ones you read first? I watched the whole series. |

I don't "collect" books but I do enjoy the various Star Trek "genre" books. I try to keep up with all of them, but I am quite behind at this point and now that I have all my books entered into LibraryThing.com it is easy to see which ones I am missing. So, the collecting will resume. BOb |

The Buffy/Angel comics are on my reading list; I'm told that the Angel ones are considered to be the never broadcast Season 6 and 7 of the show. Other than that the only spin off novels I collect are from Alien Nation. Most of the novels are as well written as the show, and that's saying something. |

I've read the Dark Angel ones myself, never really fancied any of the others.

I'm into the Star Trek books. Comics no as they are way too small for the excessively high prices charged.

In paper form I've read scores of Star Trek novels, a couple dozen Babylon 5 novels, and maybe a dozen Alien Nation novels. Also lesser numbers of Farscape, Timeslip, Star Wars, New People, Blake's 7, and other works. In ebook form I've read novels based on Firefly, classic Battlestar Galactica, Earth: Final Conflict, as well as some fanfiction based on Stargate, The Prisoner, Sapphire and Steel, Due South, and Prey. I've also read stuff that wasn't based on, but the basis of series. For example, I read Tanya Huff's Blood novels after watching Blood Ties, as well as Jim Butcher's Dresden Files novels, Jeff Lindsay's Dexter novels, and Richard Stevenson's Donald Strachey novels. |

I don't 'collect' them but I have read a few. There were two I maybe considered getting in e-form, but Fictionwise didn't have them.

I read lots of Star trek novels. I have also read all the Firefly novels, but sadly Steven Brust's My Own Kind of Freedom is the only one I know of. I loved that book and would gladly buy more if they were available.

I don't collect them, but there are times I buy them. I just bought an X-Files book from Fictionwise (100% Micropay rebate).

Note that The Dresden Files were books first, and TV shows later, so I wouldn't put them in the same category. I know folks who have written Buffy and CSI novelizations, as well as Trek books. Playing in someone else's sandbox presents challenges for an author. ______ Dennis | |

I love well done books of this sort. I have all of the following Star trek TNG Star Trek DS9 Babylon 5 Star Gate Buffy I also like books of films not the actual film novelisation but the books set after the films i have Star wars T2 these are excellent! I was gutted the third movie wasnt based on these books used a great twist of having Sarah and Jon try to find the man that the original Arnie terminator was based on, so they found the 50 year old human who could of course be played by Arnie. Also novels of comics are fine! Gen 13 X-men Spiderman etc etc |
