Yes it does which is why I keep monitoring Target's Facebook page I am convinced the pin numbers have been cracked. Too many people on there reporting there pin number was used and even more scary some shopped there as late as the 21st after Target said it was okay to do so.

Monkey, or anyone who knows, when one has a library audio book on a Sansa Clip Zip, and the book expires, what happens, can you keep listening, or does the file get unusable?

In my experience, library books and library audiobooks become unusable upon expiring, unless they are renewed.

WMA format audiobooks from the public library do not appear to expire on the Clip player, but I'm not sure about MP3 format.

Good to know....I plan to check out some Harry Potter books, and some of them are extremely long. Now that FLP has a 14 day checkout limit, I was concerned.

I don't think you can plug the Clip back into the computer after expiration date though. I think that will make it not work any more. Not sure though.

From my experience, not true.

I also believe this is the case. I am pretty sure that the expired files will still play unless you connect the Clip to the computer to load new files from Overdrive.

Guess what? After I downloaded both books to my Clip Zip, I discovered a library book on there that I had forgotten to delete. It's no longer in OverDrive on my PC, because I already had deleted it. So, will it still play after plugging it into OverDrive twice to get new books? Yes; it's still there in its entirety and still plays. The files are intact; but I'll have to delete them. |

Actually, the files remain intact and will still play after downloading new OverDrive audiobooks. See my answer above.

Oh good! I'm glad to hear it. My Sansa Fuze, which had been my mother's, had expired audio books on it that would show up during shuffle, but not play....I ended up having to factory reset it to clear them off.
