@bookzLove: Start by perusing the README_FIRST doc in the package.

Basically, you'll either need to know the root password (again, there are multiple ways, check the docs), or to set up a shared key auth method (again, check the docs for details).

I successfully jaibroken my new pw2 following this topit, but I had an error installing Koreader I am following

I am stuck to update_kpvbooklet

I had this error:
unable to delete KPB booklet.jar

Can I ignore using KPB bookled and install KUAL ?

But the booklet probably doesn't support the PW2, so, yeah, use KUAL.

EDIT: Actually, it does. I just never used it, and hadn't seen that it had been updated. Try to catch the developer on GitHub, that'd probably be the best way to get some answers on this specific subject.

(The two aren't mutually exclusive, and you can launch KOReader manually from KUAL).

Hey! Ok. I am trying to use the screensaver hack. It installed successfully and I filled my folder with images to use as screensavers, but it's not working.

My device is a PW2. It was subscribed to special offers but I unsubscribed. I am still seeing the ad banner on my homepage and the ads as screensavers (instead of my images). Any hints? I have tried restarting and de-registering. No luck. Thanks y'all!!

If you are still seeing the ads as screensavers it would imply that your kindle is still acting as a SO... you might try contacting Kindle customer support and have them reset things on their end.

Never mind - I sorted it myself. The key was doing a factory reset on my device. Now I'm in business with custom screensavers!!! Wahoo!!!

it was now possible to click on the UPDATE BUTTON - but an update ERROR 007/ UPDATE ERROR : 5 apeared : / - does someone know how to fix this?

apparently it worked! played around with copying the stuff there and here- and with and without unplugging the device etc..... : )

The one about Special Offers?

The SO feature must be disabled by Amazon.
Give Amazon customer service a call for doing that.
