coupon code = REDLAW (Whatever that means!) Though not always perfect, these inexpensive books are nicely presented for those classics lovers. I've just stocked up on most of their new series. www.delphiclassics.com |

I got five more books, bringing my total to 28 ![]() (This concludes the writers I actually know and/or have read something of already; all the others I don't know, am not interested in, or can't be bought because of copyright restrictions. A few are writers that only have one book that I'd like to read, so I'll get those one seperately somewhere.) I would suspect that you can't. Why would you buy as a guest? |

Oh, OK. They say you can buy as a guest. Probably, you can pay by using any normal credit card. At the end of the checkout, you get a list of download links; I assume that will also be true when buying as a guest, so you'll be able to download the books. Just do so immediately, back them up, and you're done.

I never rely on the seller to keep the books available for download indefinitely, so for me not having an account wouldn't be a problem. |

). I will buy their books from Kobo (and they're couponable there) or Amazon but I will not buy directly them again. I may lose the option of future updates that way but that's OK with me.

They have also gone back on their promise to make updated versions available to previous purchasers at no cost. They are a company not to be trusted - beware.

They do have an Updates page; and they also state that you need to get updates through Amazon or Kobo if you bought books there instead of through their website.

Just be smart and immediately download what you buy. The biggest annoyance is that some links in their online TOC's are not links. The books are too big to open with Sigil, but Calibre's ebook editor / tweak book can do it. If you get one or two well illustrated books from each omnibus, they are already worth it at less than $3, IMHO. |

Yes they do. *And* they had an updates page before their system crashed and then told everybody --- Whoops, sorry, no updates for anything you've bought previously. I don't trust them anymore.

Crap happens, especially to small companies. Now they clearly state that they can't guarantee lifetime updates or availability. Would you rather have had that they *didn't* do updates at all?

Their service may not be perfect. The books aren't perfect. Still, you get an awful lot for your $3, or in this case, $1.5. I'd rather pay for one of their omnibuses and split off the novels I want than start out with the crap Gutenberg calls "books". |

Other than that, I do think that the product they provide is well worth the money. |

Well-made collections, the price is right, but the publisher is completely untrustworthy in regards to any future updates they might promise. That said, I've bought some of their works since that debacle, liking the product, not so much the people behind it. (Something like frequenting a restaurant where you love the food but hate the service.)
