However, this only happens if there are a lot of unusual charges happening and the person using the card can't verify the account information OR the card has been reported missing by the owner. (Obviously, the credit card company has to be called to give the instructions to do so. As far as I know the register doesn't flash "card declined, destroy immediately" like you see in TV and movies.) It doesn't mean mistakes don't happen, but usually it's a case of being better safe then sorry. That being said ---- what the cashier and that other customer did was totally uncalled for. D:< ---I had this job back in 2003-2005, so I'm not sure if they do that anymore. From what I've seen now, most companies just contact the customer directly to ask about the charges rather than waiting to be called. Last edited by peachiekene; 12-27-2013 at 01:14 AM. |

Sansa Clips are on sale at Amazon and Best Buy. Additionally, Amazon has some good prices on refurbished models.

What is the difference between the Clip Zip and the Clip Plus? Does the Plus have a longer battery life?
Well I decided to get another Clip Zip, in purple, refurbished, from Amazon, $21.99. Last edited by booklover6; 12-28-2013 at 08:34 AM. |

Not sure if refurb is appropriate in this thread (apologies if not), but one of eBay's US "Daily Deals" today is a manufacturer refurb Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 for $124.99 with free shipping. This is the white model. I know some others have had problems with Samsung refurbs, but I own several Samsung refurbs ranging from the smallest Galaxy Player to a Galaxy S2 to a bronze Tab 3 7.0 and have had no problems with any of them.
The listing provides the following info on item condition: Quote:

Thanks, monkey. I think the clip zip looks better for my needs.

Tubemonkey, one correction for your list is that the clip + does have an audiobook folder. |

I wonder if the various firmware versions handle audiobooks differently? My now clip-less clip plus has the audiobook folder separate from the music folder on the main screen. At any rate, it's a disappointing player and this is coming from a huge Sansa clip fan.

Oops, my bad. In the clip + Audiobooks is a sub folder under music, along with podcasts, playlists, albums etc.
