But the Monkey has a thorough listing of color coded features in a regularly updated post that is very much appreciated by a large selection of MR members. That is how he earns his virtual bananas.

Tubemonkey (and others who like wysiwyg mode),
I did a little Googling, and discovered that the reason wysiwyg mode does not work in Chrome is that the forum software only enables it for certain browser user agents. For the sake of Chromebook completeness, you might want to try a user-agent switcher from the Chrome store, like this one: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...jiklpkjnoahfmg I'm trying it now on my Chromebook, with my user agent set to Firefox 15, and wysiwyg mode is working fine. You can see the user agent switcher button to the right of the address bar: ![]() Last edited by ApK; 12-25-2013 at 04:35 PM. Reason: Added screen shot |

You could keep the Chromebook in whatever room you want and remote in to your other machine to do the audiobook stuff, like my wife does....or would that be cheating?
What specific audiobooks tasks are you hoping to handle on the Chromebook, again? |

I'd imagine that the software only enables it for browsers that are tested or supported, and either Chrome doesn't meet some criteria, or they didn't get around to adding it yet.
I'm just speculating. It could be the forum software creators just hate Google. EDIT: here is an answer from the forum software support site: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=299254 Note the last post in that thread links to a purported solution, if the mods here might want to try it. Obviously they are tapping into some sort of hitherto unknown demand. I wonder what the main argument for the consumer is. Price or lack of maintenance?
