The three office stores generally price match each other. I've used OfficeMax and Staples coupons at Office Depot. YMMV

Monkey I hope this is okay to post here:

You may or may not be aware but it looks like those who shopped at their local Target store from Nov 22-Dec 15 may have had their Credit Card compromised. Target is reporting 40 million people may have been affected by this. If you see any unusual activity Target wants you to call a special line they've set up: 1-866-852-8680
This does not include online shopping only B&M stores purchases.

I rarely shop at Target but I did so last weekend. So I will be monitoring our Card closely. If banks are smart they will reissue cards. They say they got our Names, CC#, Pin and Expiration Date. This is so bad the Secret Service has stepped in.

I printed out the OD page with the price, took it to STaples, and the associate, grumpily, matched the price.
And since we received our christmas bonus today, I could actually afford it [unlike the grey thursday sale].
So now I have start learning about android and the nexus. Whoooo....

Congrats; which one did you get - 16GB or 32GB? I have the 32GB and really like it.

with no sd slot, I went for the 32. I like my comics, which get BIG fast. And I'll probably start dealing with digital video now too. Darn, my list of things to get involved with just tripled...

I guess I will be hawk eyeing my card as well since i was in there on the 23rd. I almost never go to target. Got bored that day, went in and found something for my niece.

I bought a tree topper with a Target Gift Card that was given to us or I would have never went there. Hubby happen to pick up some outside lights and a extension cord and he use the Debit Bank Card to pay for it.

What I am seem to piece together they were able to hack into the company that keeps the strip info of your card after you swipe it. All Target stores were affected. I also worry if that is true who else uses this company and is too scared of saying anything.

It's my understand that Target didn't come out and announce this is was leaked to someone who wrote a blog post on it and then it spread like wildfire but the Secret Service is involved so I think we will know soon all and how everyone was affected.

They could have been told not to say anything until the full scope is known.

I used my debit card at Target a few times during the time period. If I need a new card it will be the second time this year. I just got my other bank's card replaced due to another/different incident. What fun

Oh wow. I saw the news story and assumed it was an online thing and didn't worry about it. I *rarely* shop at Target, but did so recently. Either Friday or Monday, I can't remember.

Thank you for posting it here, it may have taken me much longer to notice if my card has been compromised.

*edit: Found my receipt. It was Monday the 16th. I will still be watching the account just in case.

The other incident was from on-line.

All you can do is keep an eye on your charges, don't give your number out to people calling, and use common sense. I'm glad the banks have gotten so much better about being pro-active than they were even 5 or 10 years ago.
