So... this might be the reason why I got to use some single-use codes quite a few times. I always have a number of books lined up in my browsers Favourites, which I use to get books from. If a big code works (like 75%+), I get a lot of books in a very short time, one after the other.

I wonder if the game of being first to appropriate a code induces us to buy books we may not otherwise have purchased (at least now) just to win. I love how we help each other win by sharing our methods of doing so.

It doesn't induce me to buy books I wouldn't have bought otherwise. I'm not going to buy books at random on a "the cover looks nice" basis, just to be able to use codes.

It DOES induce me to buy books NOW that I would otherwise have bought later. This starts to happen with codes of 75% or more. A code of 85%+ makes me rob the store blind. I have a lot of books favourited, and I can purchase A LOT of them in a timespan of 7-8 minutes, if it takes the code that long to expire. (As I said: I've gotten multi-use out of many codes that were apparently single-use for others.)

The coupons are definitely forcing me to buy more ebooks NOW that I would have eventually gotten as I got to reading more of my TBR-pile. The big problem with the frequency of all the high coupons the past months is that I'm fast running out of wishlist books to buy!

I have two step verification turned on my PayPal so unless it's something I really want I am not enticed like I use too. So maybe that might help some of you who want to stop spending.

I mean not only do you have to log in to Paypal but you have to wait for a text message to put in a special code to go any further and you have to repeats the steps each time for each purchase. Waiting on a code each time is what keeps me from buying more.

I don't have Paypal as payment option in my region so that won't work. (Not that I need it to )

Have you tried clearing your cache and deleting any Kobo cookies? I spotted the cart icon in incognito mode in Chrome, but it didn't show in Firefox where I was logged in. After I cleared my cache and deleted the cookies it showed.

The cart works very well, aside from only being able to use any given code once (multi-use ones).

As for the coupon codes taking time to expire, 2 of the 75% codes I got in the competition seemed to still be active for 2 hours or so after I used them.
