I definitely won't! Did loading some books solve the problem for you?

I might just delete the kindle app altogether, I don't like it at all. I only use, and much prefer, Moon Reader along with Calibre Companion.

Nope and Amazon wants me to call them. I knew they would so I guess I will contact them tomorrow. I too am using Moon+ as my main reader but also do use the Kindle app to sync to my other Kindles when done.

Wonder what it would look like if you registered the app to a different Amazon account (one without 6000 books).

Well I've tried manually syncing at least two dozen times and loaded another book, but I'm still at 144 MB total space. How odd that it flipped out on your device.

BTW, I HATE that carousel and the suggested books. Those who keep saying there are no ads are full of it. Suggested books to buy are nothing but subtle ads, period! Amazon really sucked up the app now. (And yes that supposed to be an "s".) I can no longer get the Time left feature to work in personal docs. It worked in 4.2.x.x. Oh well, no biggie, I use the iPad Mini 2 for reading now. Oh, and still only one freaking font on the Android app, WTF Amazon!!

Yes, on the Kindle Touch/Paperwhite that was a big issue and they had to make it able to be turned off. I wonder how many people actually leave it on?

Hmm, is there anything that actually works on the Kindle for Android app??

Line spacing works it's broke on the Kindle Fire 2013 units.
Time Left to read started working for me again.

I thought about logging in on hubby's account but I'll have to ask permission he has less than 20 books on the cloud.

I see they have added Cloud Collections in the update as well.

In terms of finding out where the space is getting used, you might try the 'SD Card Analyst' feature in ES File Explorer.

You folks having all these problems with the Nexus 7 and the Kindle reading app might want to consider buying a Kindle Fire HDX 2013. It works PERFECTLY for me. There are no bugs and it even has a male voice for reading my eBooks to me when I am doing another task. That voice is better than all audio books which I have tried. I compared the two on several eBooks. It pauses, emphasizes where necessary and uses perfect inflections in SEVERAL LANGUAGES without any accents.

Plus, the latest competitive tests matching iPad mini, Nexus and HDX comes up with HDX winning by a large margin from independent testing firms.

The Mayday feature on the HDX 2013 solves ALL problems one may encounter and does not even exist on the iPad or the Nexus. Mayday is a VIDEO of a Customer Support person who can take control of your device and show yellow lines on the unit with clear explanations how to solve all problems.

Plus, for the price of an iPad mini one can purchase an HDX 2013 AND a PW 2013 covering all light conditions.

Using white text on a black background in low ambient light levels works great. For high ambient light levels the Paperwhite 2013 is UNBEATABLE even compared to the HDX 2013 which does have some problems with glare.

Its just one week to Christmas and there may be large discounts coming from Amazon in the next few days. Don't miss a ONCE IN A YEAR opportunity possibly coming very soon.

How does the Nexus 7 2013 work in high ambient light conditions? Is there any glare?

By the way, it is permissible to buy ALL of the brands of tablets. One can celebrate Christmas with an iPad mini, a Nexus 7, an HDX 2013 AND a PW 2013. Those wedded to iTunes can have their iPad mini; those using Calibre can focus on the Nexus 7; and those reading Amazon eBooks can focus on the HDX 2013 and the PW 2013. One can have ALL those functions right NOW.

Merry Christmas to all posters here, by the way.

I just wanted to note that, if Jeff Bezos reads my post, I'd gladly accept a free iPad mini and a Nexus 7 as Christmas gifts. If my wife, kids, grandkids or great grandkids read this by accident, same goes for you.
