I'm new!

Hey, I’m new here! Having recently finished a literature major, being bogged down with paper books for four years, I’m looking to learn more about ebooks. As I work in social media, I always have my eye out for the latest trends and technology so it was cool to come across this forum. In addition to books, I’m also a big film buff. Anyone looking forward to the film adaptation of The Secret Life of Bees? Look forward to discussing with you all!

Hello, digitalzen and welcome to MobileRead. Don't worry about being new. We were all there at one time or another.

There are so many interesting topics and threads here that it can be daunting, at first; at least, that's how I felt, at one time. Don't let that bother you; just make yourself at home and always feel free to ask any questions.

There are also thousands of free public domain ebooks here for you to download, if you have that desire.

Even though you don't have your Reader of choice at this time, you can always download software for reading on the computer. ---- Certainly not the best method, as most here would agree, but that's only a suggestion.

There are a lot of helpful people here, too - many experts on specific areas, in fact - who can answer all your questions....even the questions you have yet to forumulate.

Settle back with a good ebook and have some fun!

Hi Don, thanks for the nice intro. I'm still learning the basics right now -- and maybe the computer software is a good place to start (I do have a laptop). Is it free? I'll also be looking into the online ebooks!
