Oh I pity those of you who have to help with craplets. My SIL bought two pieces of junk, hasn't opened them yet, but I can't wait to hear how wonderful they are. Since I live 3 hours away, I won't be much help to her. She got something called the "Klu" which I never even heard of. I cringe just thinking about them.

You guys may want to check out the Kobo codes thread. Just discovered that the codes are re-usable on different accounts. ie if I use it once, you can use the same code on your account once too. Happy shopping, there's a couple 75% in there!

I hate buying for men. They are either typical guys who love all things sports, techy or gadgety but there's nothing left to get them because they run out and get all the latest 'stuff' themselves. Or they are so far left of eccentric that you're stuck buying socks because their interests are so far over your head and you sooooo don't 'get' what the h--- they're into...

He's got something called Nextbook Premium 7. I've never heard of it, but then my Nexus 7 purchase was a total impulse buy because of the Staples coupon so I have never really researched tablets. It came up in Chinese when I first turned it on, but I got a couple of things set up for him: BBC News, the PGA Tour app and the Craigslist garage sale listing page I also set him up with Dropbox so the pictures he takes will automatically load there.

My father does use a PC, but for email only. He doesn't have a smart phone so is totally unfamiliar with touch screens and android. This should be fun I told him he just needs to play with it.

The screen has a lot of glare compared to my Nexus. But I think he'll probably be happy with it since he doesn't know any better

When I set my mum up with an iphone her first touch device I installed bejewelled but any simple addictive game will do, I showed her how to play it and told her to give it a go. The game allowed her to get used to the touch interface and gave her confidence within 2 days she'd gone from stabbing her finger at the phone when select items to graceful swipes and touches

It's important when teaching people new tech to allow them to do it themselves while you guide them rather than doing it for them, it is a slower process but people learn a lot quick from doing rather than watching.

I plan to wait...hoping it'll stay down or go down shortly after release... or maybe i'll just not get it...

I own this! So if you need help let me know. It going back to Walmart someday. I have till after Christmas to return it. I used it though for about two weeks. It's a pretty neat tablet. Not good for reading unless you read in landscape. The view angle messes up the portrait view.

Really in June?!? You mean I don't have to wait till my Birthday again? AWESOME!!!!

Here's my Opinion on 20. There was two writers. The first writer wrote up to about chapter 20 then someone else took over who didn't even read but skimmed through the previous chapters and totally ignored all the previous plot work or characters but the main plot line which is her job. I loved how steph was really trying to fix things for herself till the other writer came in and just left it hanging. It was like reading two versions. JE did not write any of 20 the writing style was sooo different. It kind of felt like fan fiction.

Yeah K4PC and Cloud Reader wont change but anything that you can send Pdocs to will.

He doesn't read for leisure at all. I have never known my father to read a novel. He'll probably just surf the web a little and play games on it.

It's perfect for that. It has a dual core 1.5 processor so it's pretty fast for a budget tablet. There is an option in settings to make the font larger it's a Jelly Bean option. I had mine set that way.
