I occasionally use the current Tweak Book feature as a means of viewing the raw results of a conversion to ePUB that is unsatisfactory in some way. To address the issue I will usually edit the source or very, very occasionally use Sigil to edit the ePUB.

I was wondering if the current Tweak facility could have its name changed to Peek and the Rebuild button removed. I'd prefer to use my everyday tools to look at ePUB components, rather than have to come to grips with this new editor unless and until I really need it. Its not essential because I can always press 'O' and unzip the epub into a folder, and then delete the folder when I'm done. BR |

@Perkin: All non-XML entities are replaced by their unicode equivalents. So   is replaced by the unicode non-breaking space character. This is syntax highlighted so you can see the space is not normal easily (it gets a different background color. The same goes for non-breaking hyphens.

Entity replacements is needed since the XML processing pipeline calibre uses requires it (rewriting it to not replace entities would be too much work). @BR: The old tweak book feature still exists, go to Preferences->Toolbars and add unpack book to access it. |

@theducks: The entry for tweak books is for tweak books. There is currently no entry for unpack books, as it does not have a default shortcut. That will be changed in the next release.

Any intentions to add a graphical means to associate a style sheet with a page, like the old Sigil has (right click on (x)html file and select link stylesheets)?

@PeterT: There is a whole class of such operations that will eventually be implemented, like inserting images, stylesheets, links, headers, and so on.

Well I removed the ampersands, since I can't be bothered trying to figure out what bug in Qt is causing them to not become underscrores on some people's systems.

I'll replace my Calibre install with a clean one. Have you uploaded a new build, or is it the same one from last Friday?
