Assuming that you're using the default configuration on the Kindle, set your PC's IP address to 192.168.15.201, then SSH to 192.168.15.244. |

Now for one last noob question (I know I should know more about this, but how else do you learn?) Is there a guide/list somewhere with all the basic commandos like for example how to create the auto file in the /mnt/us/usbnet folder? |

Thanks for this great thread and work, NiLuJe and all.
I'm trying to JB my PW2 (running 5.4.3) and ran into the grayed out "Update Your Kindle" state after downloading and extracting the necessary .zip files. Here's a bit more info on my specific PW2: * Model: Kindle PW2 (Wifi only - no special offers) * Bought and Shipped to: US (Northeast - week of 12/2/2013) * First 4 digits of SN: 90D4 Any help you can provide on getting this working would be much appreciated. Thanks again! |

@talbs:
Perfectly detailed answer, except that this model is indeed supported (I should know, it's the one I got ;p). Wild guess: you forgot to actually unzip the stuff in the right place? |

@yesno256: That's a PW1, and it is of course supported, so you probably did something wrong.

Released USBNet 0.15.N, with multiple PW2 fixes, and thus, actual, proper PW2 support. PW2 owners: If you weren't using a snapshot version, I strongly recommend updating
![]() It also sports the latest dropbear version, with ECC support, fixing/working around the slow logins that have plagued it for a while (provided your client handles ECC key exchanges). |

What are you talking about a snapshot. Is that the backup of it? TRying to find out what you are talking about that.. Please let me know. I Did use the jailbreak but I didn't put the networking onto it. I was waiting to see if the collections would come up and can be used.
