I just noticed that the Google play store has a bunch of Cyberweekend ebook deals, and Amazon, awesome as ever, seems to be silently pricematching

Oh, there are also Apps, music and vids, but this being MR, I figure peeps would like the ebook deals most. I just grabbed Steelheart, and will probably grab more.
A nice touch: Amazon lets you gift ebooks.

There's a thread on it here. Also, Costco has a BF sale on Google Play Cards starting tomorrow (20% off) and linked in that thread.

That's a great way to get an additional 20% off. Wonder if Amazon will price match their gift cards?

They tend to add in the value of the extras they include with their Special Value deal. This one includes:

I'm guessing that the value of the lifetime Premier Tablet Support is what is really factoring it upward. They did that with the retail price of a laptop I bought from them during another of their Special Values. I've bought from QVC for years, and just bought a laptop from them in October as a matter of fact; I haven't had any problems with them.

They are also offering the Kindle Fire HD 8.9" 32GB WiFi 4G w/ Lifetime Tablet Support today for $249.95 with free shipping and handling, and also with an Easy Pay offer.

These are excellent prices; they're cheaper than the prices on Amazon. So far they're saying that they've sold 38,000 of them.

Costco had the Note for $70 off from $389. It was only an additional $30, and Monkey had an additional $20 off at Staples. But I didn't want to try another store. We went to Target last night, and the good news is I won't have to go next year (my daughter was horrified). She agreed to go with me to Costco when it opened--unfortunately it was an hour early, at 9:00. We arrived about 9:20, and the nearer parking was almost all full. We saw a guy park, and go running into the store! Once we got in there, we noticed that EVERYONE seemed to have a 55" TV in their cart. We saw someone checking out buying 5!

I had decided to buy the Note so long as there was some additional discount. It was only $20, but that was okay. Then, we purchased some bread and some plastic wrap, and saw some framed sports stuff. My wonderful daughter found a Cubs one, and I buy those automatically. Then I had a big thing in my cart and couldn't see around it! I thought we were going to have to ride home with the top down, but once we got it in the car, we were able to put the top down (and turn on the heat, it is in the lower 30s).

Next year, I will only go to Costco. Or maybe I have enough Tablets. I have a Galaxy Tab 2, a Kindle HDX and a Galaxy Note (bought to take notes with the S Pen.) I told my husband I had ice cream sandwich and jelly bean, and I wanted kit kat!!

I have found that whenever I walk into BJ's (just like Costco) I spend at least $90, even if I just walked in there to get some plastic cups. I can never buy only what I walked in there for. I figure I'd do better if I just walked in the door, handed $90 to the membership card checking person, and turned right around and left.

Okay who braved Best Buy today? I can tell you the BB here is a totally different experience than than the one back home. The Geek Squad now come to you in line and try to sell you stuff!

One wanted me to buy a mobile hotspot you get $100 off your tablet or laptop of you do the other wanted to sell me Microsoft Office for $99. I was then asked the same questions at the check out which I was in line for over an hour and then in the pick up line for 20 minutes and had to wait 5 more for them to find the laptop which was in the back of the store.

They also were advertising this laptop as a touchscreen!

I knew it wasn't as I did my homework before going. I am now a new owner of a Samsung ATIV Book 4. So happy birthday to me.

Oh the touch pad is just the right size too.
