I've tried the new checkout on three different browsers (IE, Chrome, and Firefox) and there's no place that I can see to enter the promo code even for books that are supposed to be eligible. Any hints or tips? I have a Norfolk Island account set up also that allows me to use codes on any book but certain codes like the 95comic one won't work on the old checkout.

You have to choose a payment method then hit the continue button. At least that's how it works with paypal. And be aware that the spot for a code shows up even if the book doesn't take codes.

I just used 75off successfully for something very expensive I'd been eying (the entire set of Jalna novels with author's biography) and it worked in Firefox on Mac. Whether I can use it a second time, we'll see ...

Just want to emphasize this as I unintentionally paid full price for a book as I wasn't paying attention.

This is so incredibly frustrating.

Yes, that is what happened to me. It didn't block the purchase until I logged into Paypal. Kobo put a temporary charge on my card that dropped off a week or so later. I didn't notice the price change until I tried to buy the book again. It was only 79 cents so not that big of a deal.
