As for the 'serials', I avoid them like the plague if I can. I don't mind reading a book with a cliffhanger, so long as I get a whole book, not 100 or less pages. IMO that's money-grabbing and that ticks me off, sell me a book, not a chapter! LOL

I was going to do my 'buy report,' but I got it all messed up with a couple of bundles and I just don't have the patience to clean it up. But here's my 'read' list:

Tragic – J.A. Huss = OMGosh, I'm at the 3/4 mark and I know I'll be rating this over 4, and it's a freebie right now, even at Kobo I think.

I didn't read any new books this week Too much going on IRL and spent what free time I had setting up/playing with my new Nexus 7 and trying to finish my great Calibre reconvert project.

Was pretty restrained in buying new books, too.

And I've read Drago takes a holiday, 4 stars (more 3.5 but...)

Here's my report. 10 books for $9.83. There are 3 new releases I want to grab on Tuesday then I should only be susceptible to mega codes and $0.99/$1.99 sales.


Not a good reading week.

• Rules to Catch a Devish Duke (Scandalous Brides #3) by Suzanne Enoch - 4.0
  Even though I don't think the Duke had any real obstacle I liked the heroine
• Next to Die (Seal Team Twelve #4) by Marliss Melton - 2.5
  There could have been a nice romance in this one but it was chopped up with too much WTF!
• Highland Mist (Druid's Glen #1) by Donna Grant - 0.5 DNF
  Bad writing bad story bad bad bad - I do not DNF books but couldn't make myself slog through this one
• Bound by Vengeance (Sentinel Wars 5.5) by Shannon Butcher - 3.0
  Meh novella

I am really looking for a new x-pen for the bunnies. Can't seem to find one like what I have. All the new ones seem cheap and weak.

Ooh, I have to read The Edge of Always! I loved the first book I'm tempted to give Rebel a look but I read her Shine Not Burn and I did not like it

Have you read any of the previous books? I read the full series and thought the whole thing was very mediocre. They had potential but was just a lot of "too little of this/too much of that". I won't read anything by her again.

Winter's Heat (Book 1) is on sale for $0.99 until 11/26. It has been reduced at ARe so I might have to get it to start on my next 10 for 1 freebie.
