N905C is the Mark4 Touch. I think there is only the one Glo hardware model and that it is a Mark4 hardware device.

Not quite right. The Touch came in 3 versions. The Touch N905 and N905B are version 3 hardware, the Touch N905C is a version 4 hardware. The Glo, Mini and Aura HD do not have multiple hardware variants and use the version 4 firmware.

That being said, the 3.0.0 firmware has issues with the Mini so I wouldn't recommend sideloading it to a Mini.

That is the correct firmware for your device. the model number refers to the touch. but the glow is mark 4

Kobo has released an update to the 3.0.0 firmware. Still says 3.0.0 on the archive and the download link hasn't changed. The software version as displayed under settings/software version changes to 3.0.1 (644485e229 21-Nov-2013) with the USB connection changing to eReader-3.0.1. I haven't seen much of a change though I wonder if this version will work on the Mini without the oversize icons -- any brave Mini owner willing to give it a try?

One other minor change -- the XOR used to hide the ReadingFooter changes to CC.

One possible change: when reading a Kobo kepub, the chapter loading seems to be faster and not as prone to hanging for several seconds. Caveat is that I don't read many .kepub.epub books so not totally certain that this is not just a figment of my imagination.

KOBO Mini on the problem of too large tiles and not properly proportionate homepage appeared in the 3.0.0 firmware is still not solved with this 3.0.1 firmware. I just tested at the moment. And also not remove tiles, no context menu is displayed.
Could someone tell me for KOBO glo with this firmware 3.0.1, is that the bug light that turns off and will not turn on when you put in sleepcover while brightness is at 1% was resolved or not? this is what is currently the most troublesome with the 3.0.0 firmware.

The 3.0.x firmware is not intended for the Mini. I don't know what Kobo are doing to bring the Mini in line with the other devices, but I think it will be a while before we see new firmware for it.

Unfortunately not. I suggest you edit the "Kobo eReader.conf" file, find the line with "FrontLightLevel" and set the value to "2". So long as you don't open the light level control, the light will turn on at 2%.

I think I've identified a pretty severe bug in the 3.0 on the Glo. Basically, the Glo is able to connect only once to a Wifi.

1) Reboot.
2) Sync or open Pocket to connect to the Wifi.
3) Wait for the wifi to disconnect.
4) Try to reconnect. The wifi icon briefly blinks before disappearing. The only workaround I found is to reboot. There's no way to connect to Wifi anymore without reboot.

Is anyone able to reproduce that?

anyone else having issue with pocket??

mine has stopped syncing articles...syncs fine with phone and android tab...just the touch has stopped...

nevermind...updated to 3.0.1 and it fixed the issue

Same here. I can sync or otherwise use the WiFi a lot of times between restart. This is on both my Glo and Touch.

Hi, i have the same problems on my Glo and AuraHD.
I tried some experiments: with 2.10 the problem is absent, while with 3.0.0 and 3.0.1 the problem is there.
I noticed that if i connect to the hotspot of my phone cell, everything is ok. The same for the router of a friend of mine.

I suggest you to tweet this problem to the official twitter account @kobohelp.
I did it, but if they receive more tweets about this problem, i think they will study it.
