Today's Kindle US Romance Deal is Kitty and The Midnight Hour by Carrie Vaughn, book one in the Kitty Norville series. I'd call it more Urban Fantasy than Romance, but it's fun none the less.

Gah, thank you guys for posting your lists too. Just shuffled my TBR pile around to move your recommendations up. I see I really need to read Psy-Changeling series, and Kristen Ashley [which I'm trying but seem to be missing whole series that I need to do so, thankfully I have the Rock Chick series so I need to start it!] So many good books, so little time. Also, like apesmom said, I am very stingy with my stars. And when I looked at my list again it has quite the variety of genres [YA/NA/contemporary/paranormal/erotica]. Keep the lists coming!

I love this series! I totally agree about it being more UF than romance but the books are great reads.

Umm There is no romance in that book how did it get categorize as such? There is very little romance in books 2 and 3 too and alot of disappointment. Somebody messed up.

It is Urban Fantasy period. There is no Romance sounds like the publisher is trying a tactic or someone got their wires crossed.

I really enjoyed book one it was fun and I love the author's voice however books 2-4 did not hold up to same charm although I was glad to see the cliffhanger from one finish by book three. I just can't read the Vegas book yet I may never read it. I think I have to have a romance in series to read it or keep my interests otherwise I get bored.

I pretty much agree and loved the series. Have to wonder what some of the reviewers at Amazon read - some gush about perfect blend of romance or the tasteful sex scenes, while others comment on no romance or sex and one went off on the "repeated rape scenes".

I read a book was suppose to be Mystery/Suspense (no romance) and it turned out to be paranormal. According to the publisher (small press) readers are suppose to know what genre the book is by looking at a cover.

I gave the book one star. I was looking for a mystery/suspense not paranormal (just not my thing). Then the author emails me telling me I need to rate books on author's accomplishments and not on the actual book.

Read & finished a historical romance Saturday. Book was suppose to be set after the civil war (I think) and the author used duffel bag and casserole dish and beef noodle bake. Really don't think these are something that people would say during that time.

I am almost ready to give up on indie authors. (Sorry for any in here or reading this) But to have one tell me I need to rate a book on her accomplishments and not the book and then another one that cannot do any research before publishing. Just gives the ones who actually try to publish a good book a bad name
