DoctorOhh misunderstood the precise nature of the discussion, as explained in my last reply to him. This is understandable given the nature of the discussion, and I know he is well-intentioned. Apparently, even he was confused by what you really meant.

Google has announced today a bug fix for 4.4 KitKat could be the reason they slowed or stopped the older version of KitKat as they wanted to fix the bugs first. Personally I got tired of waiting for the update on my wifes Nexus 7. So updated it manually.

Some people are complaining about the new Google Now launcher but after installing it on my S4 I like it.

That article said it rolled out to the Moto just hours before it was released for the N4. If that's the case, then it's a matter of principle. Nexus devices were supposed to get the updates first; not second. Anyway, I'm aware of the bug.

Yes, I've had 4.4 for a week now. I sideloaded the OTA update the same day it came out, and got the bug fix OTA a day or two ago.
