Thank you. I'll contact the sellers on Alixexpress and see if they can estimate his long an order would take to arrive. I don't really want to be without a case for too long.

I picked up the official sleep cover (brown) from whsmith at the weekend, £25. Would not have paid the £40 they want for the hd version. I think it is quite nice, the only issue is as someone else stated that the cover does not easily fold back. It is nice though I think. |

I have ordered one of the Aliexpress cases, but it will take around a month to get it. I won't mind having two cases.

I have until now just been using a sleeve an old kindle sized one but just enough to protect it when I travel. The sleep cover is nice though and feels less bulky than the one I had on my old kindle pw.

It's a lovely fit however like Lyn2012 I've had issues with the magnet. First thing I tried was laying my HD's cover over the Aura to see if it would put it in sleep mode which it did so I knew it wasn't the Aura. Next I reversed it all trying to get the Aura cover to power off the HD, it was a lot trickier - it did briefly trigger the HD off as I eased the edge of the cover across the bottom edge of the HD. Next I tried a refrigerator magnet on both covers and readers, just to see if I could locate the magnet positions, no luck; I was however able to use the magnet on my iPad to set it to sleep mode. Back to the Aura, I put the reading light up real high so I would be able to see when/if the cover triggers the sleep function and gently laid the cover over the face of the Aura, easing it along, making sure the edge of the cover met with the Aura as I held it at eye level to look and see it the light switched off. I did finally find the sweet spot that switched it off and then gently ease the Aura into the snapback portion of the case and it has remained off so far. We'll see how it goes, it's a nice fitting case that closes securely so at least my Aura has some protection now and I can take with me in my purse with less worry however I will probably use the switch to put it in sleep mode rather than fuss with lining the cover up. Can someone post a picture pointing exactly where on the Aura (and the HD if possible) the magnet is located? I just feel like a doofus that I can't find it on mine! Why not just use something metal ? A paper clip or needle to find the magnet. EDIT** I'd say right about where my keyring stuck upright Last edited by gargoyle67; 11-21-2013 at 05:47 PM. |

I had assumed the magnets were located in the bezel area not in the reader screen area.

I am sort of surprised you guys haven't gotten yours yet, it's been almost a month. Hopefully they'll arrive soon! Guess it may also have helped that I'm on the West coast so it didn't have to travel very far after it hit customs in LA.

Find location of magnet operated reed switch with a small high powered ceramic magnet. If you have Philips Sonicare tooth brush can use very strong small magnets from worn out brush due for replacement. Mark location of switch with crossed grease pencil marks. Find location of magnet in reader cover and place scotch tape over magnet location then put thick small dot of lipstick on tape at magnet location. Close cover to transfer lipstick to reader to see how magnet and switch line up. Could use thick dot of tooth paste, cake frosting, mustard, ketchup or ...... instead of lipstick. Warning keep magnets away from your credit card magnetic strip and hotel key mag strip, to keep magnetic strip readable. Last edited by filmo; 11-21-2013 at 08:15 PM. |

I couldn't find one on ebay, Alixexpress was the only place they were listed. Mine was shipped yesterday . I've been told it 'should' take three weeks using China Post so we'll see.
