I can't answer, because there's no real "Mysteries" category. "Crime" and "thrillers" are completely different in my opinion. I mostly read mysteries, and mostly the "cozy" type (those that are not excessively gory or excessively sexual).

"crime" and "mysteries" are just different names for the same thing at least in bookshops. One is used in UK and on in US but I always forget which one is which.

Uh, no. (Former librarian here.) "Crime" often includes titles such as police procedurals, analysis of historical crimes, etc. "Mystery" is more often understood to be fiction which includes some type of murder, the solving of which is central to the plot. "Mystery" tilts to the puzzle-oriented plot device whereas "crime" is much broader and often includes fiction and nonfiction.

This is the bookstore that I've spent most of my life lurking about in (btw highly recommended -- there are branches, but the mother store is in Portland, Oregon). "Crime" and "Mystery" are separate sections. |

I think most folks here, when they think fiction genre, will think "Mystery", not "Crime" as describing what they read. ______ Dennis |

I voted for Romance, but that's not really it. I read everything, Sci Fi, Historical, etc. but mostly Paranormal/Fantasy. I didn't see a catagory that fit.

He told me I have to think a nickname for the game. The request nonplussed me. I asked him if I can use my RL name and got a weird look from him. So, at this moment in the back of my mind a line from TV show, book, movie, radio...whatever, I don't know, came up: Quote:
