I have the 5 and I wouldn't call it huge. I got mine last year brand new It reminds me the size of a hand held video game. It's perfect for doing lots of things though I use it daily. I love it. I paid $200 for mine and now they are going for $300 new.

This is my case but I have a TPU Skin on it or it will slide right out.

A little exageration don't ya think! SGP 3 x 5.5, PW2 4.75 x 6.5. I'd take the 5.0 with me in a pocket before even thinking about taking the PW2 out with me.

I also have the case Blossom has, but I prefer to use the now discontinued Vera Bradley Stay Tuned case, a perfect fit, also with TPU cover on it. Also holds the little stand I purchased on ebay.

Thanks guys. Funny enough, I was looking at GPS sleeves to use with it. That Vera Bradley case is cute too.

If your a Vera fan, this case for the 5.0 was made in four colors. The linked is Camellia, Island blooms, Elle Blue, and Rosy Posies. Sometimes it's helps to search by color and look for the photo as some people don't know the style. There was also a cellphone case that was a pulltab in the same colors which fits the 4.2 perfectly. Can search for iphone case. Here's the clip phone case for the 4.2. Also the new crossbody phone case should fit either of the Samsungs.

Well, figured out my screen's digitizer is messed up in the middle. Nuts. It's not noticeable, until you use a stylus.

I'll test mine and see if that is the norm for these. Yeah yours looks like it needs to replaced. My middle works fine.

One thing to watch for with Samsung/woot. I bought two 4 inch players a few months ago - had problems with one - emailed service, they said send it in. I did, they returned it unfixed telling me it was a UK model and they could not service it. Contacted uk service, no answer, contacted usa headquarters, no response, contacted Korean headquarters, no response. So, no warranty really.

I've heard this happening before now with Woot but on Amazon.

My 4.2 is the U.S version.

I got my through a private seller just arrived today and works great. The box it came in says Refurbished in the USA and has a certificate of authenticity.

The 4.2 is the perfect size the 5 is alot bigger, thicker and heavier. Plus is has a removable battery.

Oh, I know it's the US version. I downloaded the firmware and reflashed it. Now it's in its box, waiting to go to the local Samsung warranty repair place.

This is the second refurbished Samsung product I've bought with issues. Never again.

Glad you like the 4.2. the LCD screen is much nicer than their blue/green tinted AMOLED.

Anyway, that's that until I get it back.

The 4.2 display is much nicer than the 5.0. The text on the 5.0 rendering is not as good. I had to find a flip font that made it better but the 4.2 rending is great! This will make a nice eReader which is one of the things I was disappointed with on the 5. The lighted keys also are better and don't blind you in the dark. The speakers on the front so the sound is much better it's just really nice. I ordered a travel case for it today so I can take it with me for the Holidays.

The 4.2 is a lovely little unit, use it all the time. Wife has one as well and she loves it also. I suspect woot would have replaced/refunded it but did not contact them. It was a tad out of thirty days and didn't want to bother them, they have been good to me though they did sneak this one in on me :-) should have researched the model number. They may not have known it either.

I did get it working after some messing around with settings.

We really love samsung overall, we have their tvs, disk player and 7 inch tablets as well and none have ever given us any grief.

Well, Samsung got my SGP to fix at their center. But now they're cheating me out of my warranty.

They have slapped on an older serial number and a purchase date of January 2nd, 2012. Current status is "warranty related delay."

I'm NEVER using Woot again, nor am I going to buy another Samsung product again after this. They aren't even going to bother to even look at it until next week, yet they got it yesterday!
