Question Cannot access Wishlist

Currently using a rooted Simple Touch Glow With 1.2.1 on it and everything seems to be working perfect, except one thing. I can no longer access my wishlist. I have no idea how long this has been an issue as most of my books are synced via dropbox.

When going through the nook, it has my credit card saved and listed, so it's definitely talking to the B&N servers, but on a different screen it says user and account unknown. It won't let me type anything on there to correct it. Any thoughts on how to remedy this?

I tried an online help with B&N, and their solution was to do a soft reset, which I couldn't really manage to get working They said hold the power button for 20 seconds and it would turn off, wait a but and hold power button for 5 seconds to turn on. After about 15 seconds the first time, it turned off, then almost immediately turned back on since I was still holding the button.

I thought about deregistering, then re-registering the device, but wasn't sure how that would effect the root..

I just purchased a new Glowlight and noticed there was nothing from my wish list on it. I found out that the wish list you make directly on the B&N website is separate from the wish list you make on your e-reader. Where did you start the wish list, on the website or your reader?

I do most of my "wish listing" online, and that is where it was started.

I went through a bunch of my other devices, Android and iOS, and it seems like they all have the same problem where they did not used to.. So, it isn't specific to my STG. Guess when I want to buy something, I will just buy it through the website and download it later..

It definitely isn't specific to your STG. I've had a Nook Tablet and now a Nook HD+ and they have always had their own wish lists. These wish lists have never been tied to any Barnes & Noble online wish list I may have created. I've always thought this was very strange but it is definitely nothing new. I think what you are experiencing is normal.

What is interesting, is that after reading this, I dug out my Nook Classic (the first one) and fired it up. I went to the B&N website, and added a random book to my wishlist. Then loaded up the eWishlist (as its labeled on that reader) and the wishlist was 100% in sync with the wish list on line..

So, it must just be something with the newer models and software..

The Nook Classic was the only Nook device using the website wishlist. All other Nook devices use their own local wishlist.

Thanks for the info.. and that is both disappointing and rather inconvenient. Why would I want to have to keep separate wishlists? Ohh well.. I guess we just have to use what is given to us..

Thanks for all the comments..

I agree 100%. I've always though it was very strange and inconvenient. Still, like you said, we have to work with what they've given us.
