Well, I've got a strange question.
I use 5.3.4 + JBpatch now. However, from JBpatch, I really really need the "margin settings" only (I set very very narrow left/right/top/bottom margins, especially for PDF files). Now my question is ... what are the "margins" (especially for "PDF" files) in 5.3.9? The "feature enhancements" claim "Improved PDF Performance" and "Hide Reading Progress Option", so maybe I could abandon JBpatch. |

Many thanks for your reply.
However, I don't really understand your statement. I would expect ... either .. "yes, you can abandon JBpatch, v5.3.9 has these PDF features you need" ... or ... "NO, you canNOT abandon JBpatch, v5.3.9 does NOT have these PDF features you need" So, what do you really mean? |

Shame they don't allow you to have the novel option of displaying what the page progress is with books that support them, then again it is a bigger shame that the PW1 has not received any of the main software features of the PW2 such as the improved footnote presentation as I am in the middle of the newest Discworld book and Pratchett does love his footnotes.

Can I get software updates over wifi? "Update this device" is grayed out. Do I have to plug into the computer?
Thanks, eP |

(if update your Kindle is grayed out, that means there is no update currently loaded on your Kindle) |

Thanks for the post.
I'm updating as we speak. Not that it's really necessary right now, but sometimes new firmwares also have undocumented bugfixes. (Or undocumented bugcreations.... ![]() I can't imagine why anyone would like to completely disable reading progress. If I'd do that, I'd feel I was reading into oblivion. There is no sense of where you are in the book. In a paper book, you'd obviously have the left and right stacks of paper, even without page numbers. |

On the PW2, if you swipe up, it displays a progress bar. Has anyone tried this with the PW1, both before and after this new update?

Can you change the dictionary from the definition window on the pw2?
