Thank you so much with all your suggestions I have quite a list.

I have read all the suspense ones from Nora Roberts, she is one off my favorites, also read the ones from Tami Hoag and Julie Garwood. I loved Collision Force by C.A. Szarek, I could only find that one so I think is a new author, but I hope there will be more. I also liked Alison Kent’s SG5 series. I’m not a fan of paranormal.

I’m going shopping now with my new list, until my paypal acount runs out off funds.

Kinked, the latest book in Thea Harrison's Elder Races series is now $4.78 at Amazon; I'm wondering how long that'll last?

I bought all the other full-length books at $7.99 (which is very unusual for me!) and $4.78 is a great price for this one but I haven't bought it yet because (a) I can't stand the heroine and (b) I won (well, I think I did ) a print copy from the author on Twitter which I may be getting anytime soon. Not sure if to still go ahead and buy the ebook

BTW, what's with all the Katie Ashley books being on the bestsellers lists right now [the Colorado Mountain series, and I specifically want the Dream Man series]. At Kobo I cannot get around the Grand Central publishing [US, Canada], and they're not available through Mexico, UK or NZ. I know there was a sale on her other independent books, did this just spur people to buy everything of hers or was she mentioned on a blog.?

I felt it had a good balance of both elements, which is how I like my romantic suspense. The first book is the only one not available at any of my libraries so I had to buy it; I plan to loan the others.

Okay I just checked the Clare book out at the Library. Anything that makes the hubby steps in has to be freakin' fantastic! I just hope I find time to read my HDX will here tomorrow and I so hope it's a good one this time! I am tired of the replacement game.

I am all for Amazon doing discounts. But this dropping prices the same week (often the same day) of release is getting to be so common I'm surprised anyone is pre-ordering books anymore. I've seen where some people are blaming the author or publisher. I don't blame them for being upset, especially since people who pre-order are usually the die hard fans. But it's Amazon doing the discounts, not the author or publisher.

By dropping the price after it goes on sale they get out of the price guarantee, though thankfully I've read they've been offering people credits. I know they dropped the price on a DVD I'd pre-ordered last year and wouldn't credit me the difference even though the price dropped on release day. I ended up returning and reordering, but it was a battle (which is unusual as Amazon's customer service is usually easy to work with).

I paid more for the NR book, but I read it already so I'm not complaining.

Sometimes it's Amazon, but publishers have been doing it quite a bit too with new releases (books marked down the same at all retailers). Sometimes, like this book, it's Amazon price matching a sale from Google (or someone else). I've found that more often for books and movies Amazon is just matching the cheapest price from elsewhere, they aren't having as many of their own deals anymore.
