Yes, I had the January Baen Bundle in my cart, but couldn't afford to pull the trigger. So now I need to wait until the last minute and try to get through November without doing something stupid.

I haven't bought an eBook since August. Audiobooks are another story.

I actually finished one yesterday though.

But now I want the eBook version.

I already broke my pledge to buy no more e-books this year. I couldn't stand to read the clunky/heavy trade paperback I was reading(won it in an contest) so I purchased the e-book. Then, there's a new Star Trek novel out so I had to buy that. Oh well...that's the way it goes.

Good luck to all of you trying to buy no more books in whatever time period you choose. I have been relatively good this year (did buy some Georgette Heyers throughout the year), so I am going to treat myself to a splurge here soon.

Well done. Keep up the good work. I broke down today and borrowed a Prime Lending Library book. Since it's free, and not a purchase, it doesn't count against my no purchases plan. But it did have almost the same satisfaction. Of course, if the book is drek, that will quickly go away.

I purchased one book so far this week that was on my TBR list. Final price 79 cents.

I don't think I could resist such a deal either. And nor should we. The danger is buying items not on our wishlists, just because they are a 'bargain'.

That's caught me more than once. At least I know I like the author and/or series. I have made it a general rule, one that I have rarely broken, to never buy unless I have read something in the series or from the author if a non-series book. I either have to get a freebie or a book from Overdrive first and have read it!

The latest discount coupons caused me to go completely overboard. I bought 30 ebooks (47 if you count the omnibus editions separately). The prices were just too good to resist and I think I've now gotten most of what was on my wishlist, so hopefully it will lead to fewer purchases in the future.
