Getting Calibre mobi to my kindle

Excuse me for my ignorance and possible dumb question, but is there a way to send a mobi file (converted in Calibre) straight to my kindle or at least somewhere I can sync my kindle to and retrieve it. At the moment I put them on my laptop and connect my kindle and drag and drop it into the kindle document folder.
Apologies again if this is a dumb question but it would be awesome if this could be done.

The Connect/Share action has four variations, accessed by doing a right-click on the button.

4. Setup email based sharing of books: Allows sharing of books and news feeds by email. After setting up email addresses for this option, calibre will send news updates and book updates to the entered email addresses. You can configure how calibre sends email by setting preferences at Preferences->Sharing->Sharing books by email. Once you have set up one or more email addresses, this menu entry will be replaced by menu entries to send books to the configured email addresses.

Once set up, this option will disappear and be replaced by options for sending the currently selected books to the email address of your choice.

By using your Send to kindle email address, described on Amazon's help page here you can have calibre email books to your Kindle and they will then be available from your cloud.
