Kobo Discounts: Coupon Codes + Discussion - Page 280

Can't seem to make use of it. All the countries I've tried with the new checkout and Paypal as payment option don't seem to accept coupon codes on titles I'm interested in.

I've had my fun with the code spending a whopping £20 total on 13 books that should have cost a lot lot more. I've spent more time on the kobo store than normal browsing and tested their new checkout system for them thoroughly.

No kobo employees lurking on mobileread? if there where surely word would have gotten back to kobo by now and it would have been sorted wouldn't it? Starting to wonder if it is a glitch.

Also quite surprised the code hasn't spread out from this thread. 75%!! Multiuse!!

Its also still working for me but i've decided to stop, as i've already got 100 or so books lined up to read and anyway; it wont be more than a day or two until kobo put out another code. (and its posted here!)

I'm having a blast purchasing what books I can with the code; however, I just noticed something. I used my PayPal account for all my purchases, and the notifications I'm receiving from PayPal is the payment is "pending." Should I be worried that they'll either pull my purchases or charge me more for the books I've purchased once they discover the glitch in their system?

Legally they shouldn't charge you more as you have not authorized them to do so. They might be able to pull your purchases though, I've no idea about that...

Here's a tip. Download them in epub (drm free or Adobe drm), that way you'll always have a copy no matter what.

My account also had "Pending" first, but I found out that it is completed now. It needed a day to show "Completed".

I presume it will be same for you.

And they did not charged me more.

The 75% code hasn't worked for me. It says it's been redeemed. Oh, I have to change country to use it? I won't bother again, too stressful for me!

Only the old look check out working across a number of countries as far as I can tell and only the usual discounts apply

I was wondering about this. The setup I was using to get the new checkout to work (Chrome Incognito) was only giving me the old checkout again last night. I was able to use Firefox and get the new checkout, though. I haven't tried today.

My card's been put in time out again.

PayPal still works but you can no longer checkout without a PayPal account.

Hmmm .... well pardon me for being wrong in my earlier post because I think that the new check out is working ... well on and off anyway.

I was able to use the US site new check in on both Chrome and Firefox over the last little bit, but not at the moment.

So, Kobo's in testing mode it seems .... and the voucher box is still working ... which really does suggest it's meant to.

I don't think that any of the other countries are using the new check out, just the US.

Yeah I guess you could say that. I don't know why Kobo blocks my card after several purchases if they want me to make less they need to add a cart!

Last Card purchase was yesterday morning by the way. Since they blocked my card again I've been using PayPal in defiance.
