I think the battery needs to figure out the calibration correctly. Unfortunately it takes a good week to discharge, so we'll see. Hopefully that will get me at least a couple books under my belt...

I think you may be on the right track that it needs a few dis/charge cycles to reset the battery indicator and get the battery going again. If you're looking to accelerate the discharge cycles leaving the WiFi on and syncing a few times in a row tends to knock the battery off pretty quickly in my experience.

Agreed, wifi syncing drains it a good 5% points down every time.

I found a few good threads here in regards to battery draining and calibration. They've been pretty helpful.

My battery gauge said 95% then down to 65% in a couple hours I pluggrf it in to sync a couple books and then it shows the "charged" status at 100%. Immediately after unplugging it, it's back down to 61%.... so the battery is still crazy, but not as bad as before.

Back to battery problems again, Sol! It's like old times

Are the problems on yours sorted?

Hmmm, calibration is basic on every device. Full 100% charge and discharge cycles are important. Wifi on helps drain the battery faster. I really hope you solve the problem!

OK so my battery drains after a good 6 days, which was close to how my old kobo was. They want me to send my old one back, so I think I'm good. This battery gauge isn't as accurate as my old one, but at least I have a working kobo. I may give it another cycle and then send in my old one.

Thanks for your help guys!
