Yeah, I know. It was 2/3 of the reason I upgraded, TBH... I'm not complaining, but I still have to wonder, why only us?

To everyone complaining about the 4GB: on the downside, some of that space is taken up by a larger set of stock fonts & dictionaries.

Yup, it's the WiFi only model.

Good point about the dictionaries & fonts, those are probably pretty big. (When I powered it up for the first time I even got a font update right off the bat; never seen that before.)

I bought kindle paperwhite 2nd gen yesterday
my software ( firmware )is 5.4.0 wifi
and when I tried to read pdf it doesn't appear good
after that I searched here and I got a new system that makes you browse the pdf in kindle more easier .
it's name is duokan
Can I install that system on kindle paperwhite ( 5.4.0 ) ??
as you know I didn't find that system in the official site duokan .
I just saw Kindle Paperwhite5.2.0/5.3.0/5.3.1/5.3.4/5.3.5
and I didn't find 5.4.0
Can somebody tell me what can I do ??

Hi Tarek

For the new Paperwhite I think we're all going to have to wait for an update to the jailbreak before we can start modifying things. Each new version requires new efforts from the smart people who understand these things, and it can easily take weeks or more.

I've used Duokan before (an earlier version) and it looked very nice. I agree that the stock Kindle PDF viewer is pretty basic...

Has anyone gotten the PW2 3G yet? Original ship date was 11/5, but they are now saying 11/19 so I wondered if anyone was able to get one yet and what the hardware/firmware looked like. I saw the new Glowlight and it is much better than the first gen, but still nowhere near the PW2 in readablility and style. It is very light but is a washed out ivory color.
