Calibre questions are best left to those who use it. It has been a long time since I used it for conversions. But yes, I think you would add it in the Extra CSS field. I use Sigil so I can examine the entire stylesheet which is usually a separate file named SOMETHING.CSS. Some stylesheets are easier to modify than others. It all depends on the complexity of the stylesheet. If the publisher used a very complex stylesheet, then placing this statement in calibre's Extra CSS field might not work.

Thanks, I do use Sigil, so I will try to edit it there.

Can anyone post a image of a perfect unit - white and even. It seems my replacement is too warm (yellow), although it's very even. I don't know if I should order another replacement. I am satisfied with it in daily light, but it seems too yellow at night. I usually set brightness from 10 to 13 at night, and it seems yellow. I will find a modern camera to take a accurate picture tomorrow and I hope you guys can tell me the unit is normal or not.

It's a PITA. Amazon should just let you set margin in reader.pref like on the kindle keyboard. What I don't get is: I bet virtually no one uses the largest margin option, which leaves half the screen blank. After all, you can't write in the margin, or rest your thumb there because it's a touch screen. So why is that an option. I bet few people even use the second largest margin. Otoh, I bet a quite few people would use a smaller margin to squeeze maximum amount of text onto the screen were it available . But nope, can't have that. The reason you need a margin on an ebook at all is because the bevel is not flush with screen and is a different color. If you can blend the bevel and screen together, you wouldn't need any virtual margin at all. |

![]() This would only work if there is absolutely no difference between the color of the bezel and the screen, and I don't think that's possible. |

If you use the left-margin parameter for the P tag, but later in the CSS there is another left-margin parameter for the P tag, then yours can be overwritten. That is why I try to clean house and get rid of all the publisher poop that shouldn't be in HTML designed for eBooks. Last edited by jswinden; 10-22-2013 at 04:20 PM. |

Lets just agree it is yellowish and learn to live with it. Or actually I like it better that way after the first impression, so I leave the learning for you. |

I'm happy with my PW2 and the coloring. (I don't have a PW1 to compare to). My screen does look a little yellow when reading in the dark--but I like it. I also find that I need to set the brightness to between 10 and 13 when reading in the dark--anything less than 10 is just too dark.

It could be that the scale is just larger: that the KPW2 is dimmer at the low end, and brighter at the high end, compared to the KPW1. There's no reason for the KPW2 to have the same light setting as the KPW1 to output the same amount of light. Who cares what the number is, if the light level is OK... |

But both of my pw2 have better text than pw1, it's sharper and easier to read. When turn pages without refreshing, it's very clear, not bad as on pw1. Last edited by duydangle; 10-23-2013 at 02:56 AM. |
