I haven't seen anything official, but based on how long the Glo and Aura HD took, the earliest would be the middle of next month.

That's quite optimistic. I remember Borders got the Touch in rather quickly, then they went bust. Other Aussie retailers have dragged their heels on e readers. I ordered my Aura 6" directly from Kobo, but I wouldn't recommend buying from them. I think the idea of retailers stocking the Aura 6" anywhere short of the new year would be an overly optimistic view IMHO... That's what we Aussies get for living in the Boondocks.

Just sighted and got a quick play with the 6in Aura at a Sydney JBHiFi store.....it's now touchable is Australia....yay!

I confirmed the screen is a little yellower than the Glo but lighter than the touch.

Couldn't look at books because they were not setup, but compared using the wifi list screen.

There were no faults I could see on the store unit screen or backlight.

Bit of a toss between the Glo and aura. I might have shelled out for one if it was in another colour than pink....oh well, maybe now the Glo will get discounted.

Gee it really annoys me that they plug them in attach the security cable but don't complete the setup!

They're going at JB for $188 for some reason though they only seem to have the pink both online and in the catologue.

I have to ask, what was your overall impression of the capacitive touch screen and the flat front on it vs the recessed screens we've been used to? I still havent got a front lit reader and bar the less than informative and idiotic comparison of the Aura and Glo by goodereader, there isn't alot of information around about the two in comparison.

In terms of the flat vs recessed screen.....I couldn't really get a feel for it in store.

It's the same flat matt finish once you take off the protective peel, so no glare at any rate.

Definately lighter in weight and smaller in overall size.

Someone whos had the Aura lying back on the couch reading vs the Touch/Glo would be a better person to ask, what does it feel like page flicking one handed.....

My guess is no real issue with the front panel, thumbing the next page should be the same. The back of the unit could probably do with some rubber though.
