Thanks Giorgio. As far as the margins are concerned, I set them to large (but would prefer to set the larger still if possible, ideally by number of pixels rather than by small, medium, large), but when I exit, then re-enter koreader, the margins have reset to medium, although on the settings dialogue it still says "large".

I have just installed it, and can't see any obvious differences.

thanks, I'll give it a go - I stopped using it as it was crashing/restarting very often in landscape mode, perhaps that is fixed now.

I haven't tried landscape mode, but the rest seems to be as stable as ever. The only bugs I have found are that if you exit koreader, then re-start it, the margins reset from large although it still says they are large, and it doesn't always remember which page you were on.

thanks for the tip - I use it almost exclusively for pdf files (got many of those), but with a 5" screen you really need a landscape mode. Of course being able to take notes and use the dictionary would be a bonus, but I'd be super happy if the landscape did not crash/restarted continuously. I am putting it on now, with crossed fingers

bizarre, it won't start! Is it possible 2.6.2 (Mini) has broken fmonitor?

Totally possible, since fmon overwrites a system script. If a new version of it is included in the firmware update, fmon won't work anymore. Simply reinstall it to restore functionality!

ah, so it is just a matter of reinstalling it, thanks Giorgio. The only strange thing is that I cannot start koreader from the Tweaks, either (the line there is

EDIT: Tweaks seem not to work, but koreader now starts as usual with filesmonitor!

I'm guessing (basing on https://github.com/koreader/koreader/pull/303 ) that the landscape bug may be fixed in version 561. However, it is "hard to produce" soo... we need to test it out

If it is fixed, I'll be using koreader for reading everything

Night build 561 works fine with Kobo Glo 2.8.1 - sleep/wake with switch and light on/off with switch. Great work!
Adding programmable position of bottom toolbar and programmable tap-zones would be great.

Both 561 and 566 have a serious defect in dictionary lookup.
