Well, I sure hope you don't want to tell me what I should or should not eat. I've just ordered some bargain frog legs. They'll come hopping along to my home tomorrow by, well, snail mail - free delivery!

I've only had escargot once, but they were delicious. Which reminds me of something I heard back in the 60s on an old Bill Dana album.

I tried them once too. The flavor was good: It was predominantly the flavor of the garlic sauce.
But I couldn't get past the texture....or the thought that they were snails.

Also tried frogs legs. Didn't care for them.

I've eaten both many times and have always found that my enjoyment of either is entirely dependent on how they're prepared and with what they're served. Snails in particular have approximately zero taste on their own, so I fail to see what the deal is.

They're not something I find it worth buying or preparing myself, but if you're the one doing the buying and/or cooking then I'll happily eat. If you're a decent cook that is.

Those I might actually buy, if I saw them in one of my local shops (which I never will). I've had spiced ants a few times, which was seriously yummy. An ideal movie snack.

Snails are just shellfish that live on land. Nothing inherently "wrong" with them.

Why, ALL chocolate bars are insect infected, didn't you know that? The average chocolate bar has 8 insect legs, for added nutritional value. So, enjoy!

They are kind of short and stout but I guess most shellfish are.

I've always regretted attempting to broil my great aunt's teapot. You wouldn't know it to look at them, but apparently, teapots aren't shellfish.
