Where do I read? Everywhere. When do I read? Anytime I have a spare moment. Eating alone I read while I eat. Get stopped by a train I read. Sit down to rest, I read. If it was possible to sleep read I would do it.

Mornings after checking the News and e-mail.. at McDonalds having my Egg McMuffin and Coffee, during lunch at the office, in my car waiting for my wife while she is shopping, after dinner and in bed before a catch some zzzzz's.. I read a lot.. I have a very understanding wife.. I'm a Junkie.. I probably am on the computer, iPad or reading e-books 5 hrs per day or more..

Where and when do you normally read?

I work at home, so usually at home for 2-4 hours a day. In the comfy recliner, with earbuds playing music to block my hubby's TV watching noise. In bed before going to sleep, also with music playing. This summer was the first summer with my Lifeproof case and Marvin for iPhone, so I did a lot of reading in the pool… which is AWESOME! My favorite place to read, for sure. Also on the back patio during cooler weather and if the mosquitos aren't swarming too bad. And I always read while blow drying my hair.

Audiobooks about 3-4 times a day for 10-20 minutes each time while pacing around the backyard and exercising myself and my dog. Ebook on the treadmill if weather's not good for backyard pacing.

Outside the home: on long car rides, in waiting rooms, at nail salon while getting a pedicure. At our getaway camp/property where I go a couple times a year I have a shady bench facing the lake where I like to sit and read surrounded by nature. Not too far from a power outlet for charging, though!

I read while partially reclined on a very comfortable fainting couch during the day. I sometimes take my Kindle to the beach. At night, I read in bed with my head propped up on a small buckwheat pillow.

Wherever and whenever I've got a few minutes. Today I sat around the house with nothing to do but keep an eye on dinner and probably managed about 6 hours.

I'm pretty much an insomniac and I can only read in the early, early morning like 2 or 3am. It's just so quiet and calm that it puts me in the right state of mind to read.

I can't believe you can knit and read at the same time! I have wished I could do that so many times!

Anywhere and anytime I get a chance. I usually read during my commute to and from work, on my lunch break, at home, whilst cooking and sometimes whilst eating, and in bed. If I'm really onto a book I'll read whilst out, i.e at the cinema during the trailers and if the film is rubbish (a la man of steel) I'll read during the movie.

While eating, cooking, after work, on breaks at work, on weekends and vacations, waiting for and riding the bus, in lines, in waiting rooms, while walking down the sidewalk, essentially anytime I have a free hand and eyes.

Am at university so don't have as much time as I would like, but try to read whenever I can (that isn't course related reading). I usually read around 11pm-1am at the moment, as am too wired to go to sleep.

The only place I can't read is in bed. For fifty years I've carried a book with me wherever I went. When I shipped to basic training I had "The Psychology of Concentration Camps" in my bag. They let me keep it and I enjoyed the parallels between concentration camps and basic training.

I continued carrying books with me wherever I went. I read when I was eating breakfast, lunch, or dinner in a cafe. I read if I had five minutes to wait for an appointment. If I was parked waiting for my kids to get out of school I'd read a book. Or, if I had to go shopping with my wife I would take a book so I could read and pretend I really cared about shopping. The strangest place I ever read was probably in a morgue waiting for the coroner to show for an autopsy.

You mean it's not possible to sleep-read? Seems to me I have done it several times. All you have to do is forget to set the sleep timer on your audio book!
