After that I just don't care to read what skinny authors think a BBW size is so I'm very selective on reading heriones who are called that.

Yeah, there's always that possibility. "Oh, there's a line of BBW heroines? OK, I'll add some curves."

OTOH is was 99 cents, and the sample must have been good or something, because I went for it.

Good evening ScalyFreak. I read the blog that you linked to and thank you for posting it. I change my passwords once a year to very strong passwords on most of my sites. I was surprised that you suggest changing them every few months. Would every 6 months do?

Glad you enjoyed the blog. I posted it because I hoped it would help people.

It depends on which passwords, and how important you think they are. I suggest every few months primarily because I learned about computer security from people who successfully circumvent it just for the fun of doing it, and because I would much rather sty safe then be sorry. I pay my bills and my mortgage online, and Amazon knows my credit card info. I would rather be overly cautious than have someone get to those accounts.

If you are already using strong passwords and don't recycle them, then you are already at less of a risk than someone who won't take that precaution, and that honestly is what matters the most. There are so many many people on the internet, that all you really have to do to survive is to make sure that someone else is an easier target than you are.

It's kind of like that old story about the school class that took a field trip to the zoo, and the hungry tiger got out. You don't have to out-run the tiger. You just have to out-run the fat kid.

I'm sure you get my point here. It's all in cost-benefit analysis. If it's too much work to get to your stuff, compared to someone who is a lot less careful, then whoever it is will go for the less careful person first.

I change my passwords every six months, so obviously I think that's sufficient. But then, I' not a high-profile target. If I suddenly became a celebrity, you can bet your hiney I'd be changing passwords way more often.

It is UF, but it has a strong May-December romance between Cady, the 25 YO heroine and Lon, the 40-ish hero (who also has an adorable 13 YO son named Jupe, who steals every scene he's in). Cady is smart and very mature for her age so the romance is believable and the paranormal elements are very different from the usual vamps, werewolves, etc.

Hubby just got in and had the mail from town. In was the book Hit Reply that Roxanne St Claire said she was sending me after I alerted her to Kobo's copy being messed up.

So I opened it and She signed it! My first autographed book. I am so excited! She also sent a bookmark with it.
This goes in a very special place on my shelf. <3

I can name the authors on one hand that write lighthearted paranormals

1. Lynsay Sands
2. Molly Harper
3. Ashlyn Chase
4. Jessica Sims
5. Sandra Hill

These sorta fall into the category but not quite.

Vicki Lewis Thompson: Her werewolves series contains humor and would be somewhat on the lighthearted side.
Shelly Laurenston: her books contain humor but she can be a bit too sexy and not lighthearted enough.
Erin McCarthy: She has a vampire series but she doesn't write for the genre.

We need more of these types of books. Authors can have fun with the supernatural, it doesn't need to be dark and serious all the time.

I agree but would add Katie MacAlister's books to that list. She can make me laugh out loud anywhere I am reading her.

I picked this one up in paper when Borders was closing but I'll probably get the eBook too at this price. I second the recommendation. This book is good unique urban fantasy.
