Mine has shipped! Can't wait until it's here! But I noticed something funny when I went to the UPS website to track it. I had originally put in the order with prime 2 day shipping. I updated it a couple days ago to the $3.99 overnight and my shipping date changed to Oct. 1st. But when I track the package on UPS, there is this message:

Scheduled For Early Delivery On:
Tuesday, 10/01/2013, By End of Day
Originally Scheduled For Delivery On:
Wednesday, 10/02/2013, By End of Day

So my question is, what does it say for everyone else?

I see that a lot on my Amazon orders through UPS. So far they've always delivered on the earlier of the two dates.

Amazon has recently started using USPS for prime deliveries a lot in my area--it's very frustrating, as my local USPS is pretty bad. I've emailed Amazon with my unhappiness but I assume it must be fiscally motivated.

(Stuck on Shipping Now, although my card was auth'd over night.)

True. They used to deliver most to my area with OnTrac who were awesome. Lately it has been the majority USPS or UPS. I am also a little disappointed. I hope it's not a sign.

I'd be willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. They've used USPS for big "get it on release day" book deals, like Harry Potter, and I don't recall there being any big problems.


Quality of delivery will of course depend on the local branch of whatever service. Every time Amazon's decided to use anything but UPS, FedEx or USPS for my deliveries there have been problems. So if your USPS branch has problems...
