What's the deal with Swagbucks?

Hi and welcome.

To answer a few of your questions, yes you can buy books from Kobo and read them on your Kindle BUT you need to convert them from epub to one of Kindle compatible formats first. To do that you'll need a conversion tool, so if you're not already using Calibre as a library mangement tool you need to get it, it's free and nothing beats it! Additionally if the Kobo purchases are DRM'd you'll need to liberate them before they can be converted.

With regards to finding kobo codes you'll want to watch this thread. All the general use coupons end up getting posted here. There's another unlimited use 50% off code running until Oct 15 which is pretty much unheard of. The code is BookRiot50. If you're going to give Kobo a try now is the time to do it.

I'll let someone else answer the Swagbucks question (Blossom?).

31 total for $54.47
A great big haul! I can see why you might've lost your nerve

Since posting the last two Sundays I only bought 6 books in the past two days (plus a sewing book the week before). $10.20 for all 7 books.

Of my recent purchases, I've read Snow-Kissed (by Laura Florand), which is a lovely emotional read (trigger: miscarriage); I gave it 4 stars. I also completed The Bridge (by Rebecca Rogers Maher), which has the unique (to me) premise of two people trying to prevent each other from committing suicide. I felt it was well-written with a realistic ending and I gave it 4 stars as well. Both of these are novellas (and, Blue2u, I think you might like both of them ).

I'm almost half-way through Goodnight Tweetheart (by Teresa Medeiros) and I'm enjoying it a LOT! Lots of chuckling over here After being on my radar for a long while (at $7.99) I picked it up for only $2.00 thanks to a very generous Kobo code fairy

I've had a terrible past week (been on antibiotics which were literally poisoning my body (or it just felt like that ) and making me feel horrible. I'm done with them for now and I'm starting to feel a lot better.

When you're done... make sure you read the epilogue @ Teresa Medeiros' website!

Antibiotics can do wonders... but can be nasty how they affect the body. Glad you're feeling better!

It takes a bit of effort and searching around, but if I can do it, anyone can!

I don't understand Swagbucks, I'm looking forward to hearing more about that.
Isn't the Kobo app available for iPad? It's free on Android phones and tablets.

Thank you! I saved the link (without peeking ).

Big thumbs up on the antibiotics! And I hate that you must go the full course or risk drug resistance

I love Teresa Medeiros, she lives in my home town and I am always seeing her in the grocery story or library. Very friendly and outgoing person.

Well - fast forward to 9/24 and oh boy! Knowing this coupon is expiring on 9/30/13 - I immediately went to my Amazon wishlist to decide what to purchase and I made out like a bandit!!

Purchased 59 books for a grand total of $59.77 or $60 bucks! WOW!

More importantly, most of the books were on my wishlist in order to complete gaps in series. For example, I have had Sharon Sala's QUEEN on my list FORVER - it has been constantly hovering around the $7.00 mark. Using the 50% coupon was able to snag it for $3.49!! Woot Hoo!

Again - I don't what I was thinking waiting until the last minute! All I can say, is it must have been a brain moment! Hope everyone had a good e-book purchasing week!
Ooh, I'd love to see that list!

You and apesmom are my heroes this week!

BTW, apesmom, I'd been waffling on Club Sin, when you get around to it I'd like to know you're thoughts.

  39. French Quarter - Stella Cameron (Bayou #1)
  40. Off Course - Sawyer Bennett (Off Series #4)
  41. Runaway - Sandy James (Safe Havens #2, picked up #1 for FREE)
  42. A Tale of Two Demon Slayers - Angie Fox (Demon Slayers series)
  43. Profile of Evil - Alexa Grace
  44. Devil's Food
  45. Heavenly Pleasures - Kerry Greenwood (Corinna Chapman series)

  47. Heart of the Dove - Lara Adrian (Dragon Chalice Series)
  48. Disturbing the Dead - Sandra Parshall (Rachel Goddard series #2)
